eBay's Greatest Exakta Item Descriptions

- This NO RESERVE auction is for an absolutely mint Exakta RTL1000 body. The leather covering is as new, as is the finish. There are absolutely no rubs or bright marks on this pristine piece. The only problem with the camera is that when wound, the shutter immediately fires. Its probably only in need of a minor adjustment but I do not have the time to look at it closely. You are probably going to get a great bargain but I am selling it AS IS. Please note that the body cap shown in the photo is NOT included. The camera is in good working order. Only the slow speeds are a little slow, so for perfection this would need to be looked at. The lens is excellent and the bellow same. The leather casing is a bit tatty and would need to be repaired. Other than that a fine little collectors camera. Everything seems to work fine, however it has not been checked out by a repairman and this camera sold as found, untested, and as is.

- This gorgeous Meyer-Optik 400/5.5 Telemegor in Exakta mount is all black and looks great with only one or two very faint marks. Optics look clean and clear with no haze or cleaning marks but with some spots inside. It takes great pictures. Comes with both caps. Start low with no reserve for your use or collection. Please add shipping and insurance.

- Here is a very nice 135mm Tele-Xenar telephoto lens for all models of Exakta SLRs as well as the Exa models I, II, and 500. The lens was manufactured by the highly reputable German firm Schneider Kreuznach. The lens comes with the original caps, shade, and box. The lens is practically mint, with perfect glass. The shade has a couple of minor marks. The box shows some wear but is intact.

- This is a great telephoto lens for the Exakta, dating from around 1957. The lens has five elements and focuses down to as close as 5 feet. The diaphragm stops down to f22. The focus is smooth and the release mechanism positive. The shutter release button can accept a cable release, and will operate in either manual or automatic mode. The lens is about four inches long without the shade. This lense is highly collectable and a great picture taker as well. In excellent condition. There is a repaired ding to the filter ring, and the little pin that the camera body locks onto is missing. Shouldn't take more than few minutes to tap or screw and appopriate pin into place.

- Exakta VX IIa camera made in Dresden Germany by Ihagee in the early 50s, Cosmetically one of the cleanest I have seen around, marked Germany USSR occupied, the leatherette appear to be 100% intact, the chrome very clean ,top removable prism rather minty! The optic is a Zeiss Jena 50mm/2.8 Tessar , the glass is super clean in and out this piece was very well taken care by the original owner and probably almost never used ! Everything is in good working order , the shutter fires at almost every speed and the cloth curtain is perfect , this set is Mint in the original box with matching numbers ! Fantastic addition to your collection! you wont find a better one!

- This Exa 11 works but the slower speeds (1/8 - 1/2) are slow. It probably need using! Cosmetically, the body doesn't have any major marks or dings but does show signs of use. The leather covering is clean and intact. Lens is the 50/2.8 Domiplan with very clean optics. The barrel shows some wear and the diaphragm is stuck at about f4. Again it probably needs some use, there can't be too much to go wrong. Sold as is for the handyman.

- Camera is in excellent condition (8 of 10) and works on all shutter speeds including the timer. Leather has a few tiny scuffs and a few paint chips in the black enamel trim but nothing ugly. Best of all, the shutter curtains are wrinkle free and light tight! Nameplate has some brassing but overall, a nice collectible and historic camera for your growing collection!

- EXAKTAR 50mm f/2.0 auto lens protected with skylight filter lens in excellent condition except diaphragm needs work (does not close)

- Leica Model D (II) Black Body 1931-32-Good User. This is a very fine working Leica D with the serial number 89848. The vulcanite covering is intact but the back has a vertical crack near the center metal button. The paint shows typical wear and there is some brassing on the tops of the knurled knobs. The top plate engraving has typical oxidation in the engraved numbers and letters. The curtains are perfect, the viewfinder optically bright and the rangefinder operational and image coincident. There is a PC flash contact mounted on the top plate. I have tested the PC socket and it synchs properly. Shutter speeds are good. This is a fine 68 or 69 year old camera for using or for restoration for the collector. Remember, Model II's have been increasing in value and will continue to!

- A GREAT Exakta VX (Varex) IIa, lens, finder, and case included!!! Body # 821213. Lens, Schneider-Kreuznach Xenon 1:1,9/50-#4581493. Carl Zeiss Jena Nr.#3118791, Triotar 1:4 p=13,5cm T. This camera is a Beauty,The shiny metal is nice and bright, the black leather and lacquer nice and black, showing almost no wear. Works great! The lens is clear, no hazing, no mold, no mildew, hardly any specks, great coating. Aperture and focus nice and smooth, working correctly. Internals look good and still has the take-up spool! Finder is clear, with a few specks and fuzzies. Original focusing screen! You also get a nice leather case which shows just a little wear, everything intact. Plus you get a color light meter "Gossen" Pilot 2.

- Exakta VXIIa with waist leverl finder in near mint cosmetic condition, no brassing, leather perfect, shutter seems to work fine in all speeds. there is one major problem and that is: the shutter curtains are dry with pinholes in them. Threre may be a treatment that can be used to fill in the pinholes to make the camera usable. If not for use; it is a fine example of this model to add to a collection. Buyer to pay $5 for shipping in the USA. I accept Paypal.NO RESERVE another: It may only take a little trick to release the mirror which is stuck.

- The filter has 49mm threads so it will work on any camera lens that uses 49mm filters. The Box says No. 110 for Exakta Biotar f:2 P.S. This filter is for correcting Type F color films when shot in daylight. I do not think you can get the type F film anymore but that does not mean the filter is obsolete. The color of the filter is a light orange so it is considered a warming filter for today's films. Great for the Fall when the leaves are changing colors, sunset and sunrise are also an ideal time to use this filter. The filter is coated and brand new condition.

- Exakta VXIIa Body, Excellent +, Needs Help,NR Exakta VXIIa body only, no finder, in excellent+ cosmetic condition, just a touch of brassing on the painted parts, leather perfect, shutter seems to work at slow speeds but hangs up at high speeds; also there is one problem and that is: the shutter curtains are wrinkled and dry with pinholes in them. If not for use; it is a fine example of this model to add to a collection.

- Serial #672094, from the H. Waterman collection. Both camera and case are in pretty nice shape for display, but will need some work, for use. The shutter works, but is sluggish below 1/125th when cool, and at 1/25th and below when warm. When cold (32) it doesn't work! The mirror has lost about 1/4 of its silvering, although the finder is still reasonbly bright. Cosmetically, there are rubs on the chrome finder front (magnifier cover), and a small ding in the trim , bottom left of the lens mount. There is minor chipping of the black paint on some edges. The leather is quite nice, but has a meter to foot scale glued on the back. I have not tried the low speed dial. The case has good stitching and leather, with minor rubs and mars.

- Exacta VX Camera with Zeiss Biotar F2 58mm lens.Camera in great condition with the exception of ding on prism top.I've always hated this camera because of it's ass backwards design, left hand wind slow speed and self timer operation. It even has a built-in film cutting knife which is useless.Anyway the VX was made in East Germany and has a USSR Occupied stamp.Exacta prisms are easy to come by if the ding on top bothers you.Camera without ding would be a (9)

- This rare German made Ihagee Exa IIa is in beautiful condition. The shutter curtain appears light tight and the body has barely a flaw on it. Only real flaw worth mentioning are two minor defects in the leather otherwise it is a solid mint cosmetic camera. The slow shutter speeds are off, viewfinder is clear but probably not as bright as it once was. Everything else appears to be excellent. Comes with original manual and Meyer-Optik Gorlitz Domiplan f2.8/50mm normal lens. Also included are the matching Meyer-Optik Gorlitz Lydith f3.5/30mm wide angle and Isco-Gottingen Isconar f4.0/135mm telephoto. Both lenses appear in excellent condition with clear glass and only minor wear on the barrels. Also included is a bayonet to 40.5mm screw adapter for your other Leica, etc screw mount lenses. I am including a Kako Elite 5 strobe (retro looking) with original warranty card and instructions plus an old GE exposure meter. Unsure as to the operation of both these pieces. Strobe needs a power cord. Meter is a question mark. Both however seem to complete this outstanding outfit, so I am including them. Successful bidder adds $12.00 for proper packaging, priority shipping and insurance within the US. Outside and lets talk rates.

- Please see all pictures of all that is included! Exakta VX, seems to work ok on all speeds, not professionally tested, but they sound ok, one curtain is very fine, other curtain has some wrinkles in it but seems to be light tight with no holes, so mechanically i would say it is sound. Cosmetically, it looks nice with no major marrs or and no dings, leather is ok! Used but not abused.Ser # 808749. Finder opens and closes fine, mirror silvering ok. Lenses are Zeiss Tessar T 50mm f2.8, optically is ok,very slight fungus present, smooth focus and aperture!Other lenses are Isco Gottingen Tele-Westenar 135mm f3.5, ok condition all around. Telescope adaptor included! Overall, a nice shooter outfit, did not test the shutter with film in it, but sounds ok.

Included is One See-Through Finder and One Waistlevel Finder with Leather Case. The Camera and Lenses are in Excellent+ Condition and appeared to be very well taken care of for a 40 Year old Camera. The camera looks and works great. The shutter works fine, but I have not put it on a tester. The black leather looks good except for a very small scuff on the Bottom. I would call this camera Mint, except, I'm afraid you might put it under a microscope and find something, I did not notice . I do know that this camera has been well cared for. The camera itself has not been used in several years and that is why I'm offering it for sell. I will be glad to answer any question you may have about this camera. -second crap lens -second finder, wl -case would have been nice, hood, shitty filter

- Although we try to give accurate descriptions of our items, it is possible at times to omit or overlook points which may seem unimportant to us but very important to YOU. We urge bidders to ask questions first not after the auction is over! Generally, we let the pictures do the talking, if you don't see it in the picture, chances are it doesn't come with it. This item is in excellent condition. All items are sold as-is. The item you see is the item supplied

- All items are used and appear to be in correct working order unless stated otherwise. If you plan on using the item it is strongly recommended that the item be serviced prior to use. This will ensure that the controls/functions are accurate. The item offered at auction most likely has not been used on a regular basis for quite some time.

- You are viewing a 35mm Exakta I. I think this might have been made prewar because Germany was electro penciled in small letters on the back of the camera. I think postwar production would have it stamped in although I'm not certain of this. Overall this is a wonderful camera for it's age. The lens is a Tessar 2.8 50mm. It's looks free of scratches. There's a few specks between the elements. I don't know what they are but they're small and probably don't affect picture quality. The aperture closes and opens smoothly. The shutter speeds are B to 1000. They all sound good, EVEN THE SLOW ONES!!!!!! I find that amazing on a camera this old. The leather is complete on the body and the painted surfaces are in good condition with some small spots of wear around the edges. Due to the age of the item I cannot guarantee it's suitability for use beyond what I have described. This as well as other cameras I have available this week are out of a private collection and have been well stored and cared for. The pictures tell the rest of the story. Good luck and have fun bidding.
